Rainsoft Update

I received the following EMail from Jerry Biskup:
Jerry Biskup to me, Becky, TECH

Thank you for contacting AWTP Technical Product Support. I’m sorry that you have experienced repeat difficulties with your RainSoft equipment. It is unusual that the timer motor would need to be replaced as often as you have experienced. Please have your local RainSoft dealer contact us for assistance in troubleshooting this problem. There is apparently another issue with the timer mechanism. Rest assured that the timer mechanism on your LMC 60 CT carries a limited Lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. If you need further assistance, please contact Technical Product Support at 800 860-7638. Thank you for choosing RainSoft!

Subject: Rainsoft?

I’ve got a Rainsoft Silver system that was installed in Jun 2003.
On the ID Tag it gives the following info:

  • Model: CMC 60 CT 60HZ
  • SN: 425022
  • Date MFG: 04/04/02

  • My Rainsoft paperwork say’s it is Model 30359 with the same SN
This unit was installed in Jun03 and has just had its fifth (5th) timer motor put in.
Do you know of any reason this unit should go through timer motors so often and do you have any suggesions on what I could do to mitigate this seemingly regular occurrance?
    Thanks,

    0700: Submitted on-line service request

Please review http://www.hilsheimer.org/rainsoft/ for the information you’ll need on this job.
I’m the 2nd owner of this system. It was 11 months old when I purchased this house.
Wednesday’s service call resulted in installing the 5th Timer Motor since new in Jun03
This new timer failed to fix system.
It’s not working. For the 36 hours since the timer motor was installed and the system buttoned up, the mechanism has not moved. Web link above has detailed notes and photos of inoperative mechanism.
    Please contact me at 850-890-0858
I will call the 1-800 number this afternoon if I don’t hear from Rainsoft earlier.
I’m getting very frustrated with my Rainsoft system that I’ve dumped service call money and time away from work into… not to mention the hard water during those outages. I’m close to becoming a very disgruntled customer.
Online Result of Submit: Thank you for you interest in Rainsoft. Your email has been sent and a Rainsoft representative will be in contact with you soon.

Remarks: Not contacted on Friday by Rainsoft.
